Fighting for Grip

It's difficult to articulate just what it is that makes so many of us become obsessed with riding.  Volumes of books have been written on the subject and countless movies have been made in an attempt to capture this lifestyle, but it truly seems impossible to define this love that we all share as two-wheeled brothers and sisters.

Some attribute it to being little more than an escape and some equate it to a religious experience.  Perhaps that's the problem with trying to create a framework to package the life of a rider.  Motorcyclists represent an incredibly diverse cross-section of society that seems to break down barriers between race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, socio-economic status and even football franchise fan clubs.

There's a comfort from being around fellow brothers and sisters who all share the same passion as you whether it happens to be devouring miles on a cruiser or touring bike, exploring back country on an adventure bike, strafing corners with a knee on the deck on a sport bike, sailing through the air on a motocross bike, or even spending your nights grinding away in the garage making a vision into reality.  At the end of the day, no matter which discipline we ride, at least can all agree that on streets, in the trails, in the fields and on the tracks we are all out there on two wheels just trying to move forward while fighting for grip.
